How CalculatNow handles information when you use calculatnow.com.

Last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Who we are

CalculatNow, referred to here as we, us, or our, operates the website at calculatnow.com. This policy explains what information we do and do not handle when you use it. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@calculatnow.com.

2. Your calculator inputs stay on your device

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your salary, your loan balance, your weight, your date of birth, your rental income, and every other value you enter are processed locally on your own device.

Those values are not transmitted to our servers, they are not written to a database, they are not logged, and they disappear when you close or reload the page. We could not produce your calculator inputs if we were asked for them, because we never receive them.

There is one narrow exception, and we want to be precise about it. The word unscrambler can look up a definition, which sends a single lowercase word to our server, and our server passes that word to a public dictionary service so the meaning can be shown on the page. We route it this way specifically so that the dictionary service does not see who is asking. We do not associate the word with you.

3. Information we do collect

  • Your email address, only if you offer it. If you sign up to hear about new calculators, we collect the address you enter and nothing else. Please note that the signup form is not yet connected to a mailing system, so at present an address entered into it is not transmitted to us and not stored anywhere. We will update this policy and the date at the top of this page before we begin collecting addresses.
  • What you put in an email to us. Our contact page gives you an email address rather than a form. If you write to us, we receive your message, your address, and anything you choose to include, and we keep it for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of it.
  • Standard server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records ordinary technical data when a page is requested, which typically includes an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and a browser user agent string. This is used to serve the site, to keep it secure, and to diagnose faults. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything else.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, to anyone, for any price.
  • We do not run advertising, ad networks, retargeting pixels, or advertising cookies.
  • We do not run third party analytics, and we do not track you across other websites.
  • We do not require an account, and we do not ask for a name, phone number, address, or payment details.
  • We do not use your information to train machine learning models.

If any of this changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect, and where the law requires consent we will ask for it first.

5. Cookies and local storage

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you switch the site between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser using local storage under the key theme. Local storage is not a cookie, it stays on your device, and it is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to route requests or to protect the site from abuse. Cookies of that kind are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off through a preference on this site.

6. Service providers

We keep the number of third parties involved deliberately small. We use a hosting provider to serve the site, and a public dictionary service for the single word lookup described above. If we connect an email delivery provider for the newsletter, it will be named here before it is used.

Providers only process information as needed to provide their service to us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

7. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, our legal bases under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR are these. We rely on your consent for sending you email updates, which you may withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site for server logs, and in responding to you for correspondence you send us. Where we are required to keep records, we rely on our legal obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. Residents of California and other United States states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Since we do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for you to opt out of on that front.

To exercise any right, email support@calculatnow.com. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows. In practice we hold very little about any individual visitor, so the honest answer to most access requests is that there is nothing to send.

9. Retention

Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics and are then discarded. Email correspondence is kept while it is needed and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you subscribe to updates, we keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We keep the amount of personal information we handle to a minimum, which is the most effective security measure available to us, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to what remains. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Our hosting infrastructure and any provider we use may be located in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it continues to be protected in a way consistent with this policy and with applicable law.

12. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site develops. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be made clear. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without your consent.

14. Contact us

Questions, requests, or concerns about privacy can be sent to support@calculatnow.com. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Use and our Disclaimer.
